You'll Never Walk Alone : Liverpool Celebrity Fans



Me started following this great football club around 1989 or so.Love watching those great players like Ian Rush,John Barnes,Peter Beardsley,Steve Nicol and Bruce Grobelaar back then.Apparently there's a plenty of Hollywood stars,an athlete,a singer even WAGS like Coleen Rooney, who supporting this club.Here are the celebs who are supporting Liverpool.YNWA...



Lana Del Rey was at Anfield for Liverpool's thrilling 3-2 win over Tottenham - and she even got to meet the match-winner Steven Gerrard.



Liverpool fan and Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs spoke of his joy at being invited over for a kick-about with Ian Callaghan, Emlyn Hughes and Stevie Heighway.


Liam Neeson and sons Michael and Daniel cheer on their beloved Liverpool FC at Craven Cottage, home of Fulham.



Rio Ferdinand might play for Manchester United but he certainly grew up an LFC fan - John Barnes was his idol.


Former England manager Sven-Göran Eriksson is a massive LFC fan. "I did support Liverpool as a young boy and well into my teens. Along with my father, who had supported them for many years from afar, I began to follow Liverpool and I travelled to England several times to watch them as I got older, especially in the winter when there’s not much football in Sweden. I never got to stand on The Kop, though, which is a pity."


Brad Pitt revealed his affection for the Reds during an interview about his latest film, Moneyball. Asked who his favourite football team was, he replied: "I have some friends who are very close to Liverpool, so if I went another way I might be disowned."

Dr Dre: The American rapper and record producer started following the Reds whilst on a promotional tour in London back in 1988. He was watching TV when these 'cool cats in red came on the box'. Dre cites John Barnes as his favourite player but referred to Patrik Berger as 'the bomb!' in an interview in 2000.


Coleen Rooney: Her husband might be a Blue who went on to play for Liverpool's biggest Rivals but Coleen Rooney has always been a Red. She was brought up a Liverpool supporter and much to Wayne's annoyance, she continues to cheer on her childhood team. After the Carling Cup final where Liverpool beat Cardiff city on penalties, she tweeted, "Congratulations Liverpool!!!" to her 650,000 followers.


Angelina Jolie: Former wife of actor, musician and LFC fan, Billy Bob Thornton, the actress has continued to follow the Reds despite their separation.She was with Brad Pitt now. Her son Maddox is a huge Liverpool fan and 'only wants to play for Liverpool'. Thornton's passion for the club stems from his love for the city. "I love that town, they're my kind of people," he says.


Daniel Craig: Born in Chester but raised on Merseyside, the James Bond actor is a big Liverpool fan. He idolises captain Steven Gerrard and before one game, the skipper waited for Craig in the Liverpool foyer wanting his photograph taken with 'Mr Bond'.


Nelson Mandela: During his time as South African President, Mandela met the Liverpool squad during the Reds' tour of Africa back in 1994. Presented with a Liverpool shirt by John Barnes, he later told the winger in an interview that he was a fan of the club.


Mike Myers: The Austin Powers star, who was born in Canada in 1963, is a life-long Liverpool fan. He grew up in Toronto, but his parents both originated from the Old Swan area of Liverpool. "I was the only kid in Toronto to wear an olive-green Nehru jacket and support Liverpool FC," he told LFCToronto.com.


Caroline Wozniacki : The former world No.1 tennis star kept a promise to thousands of her Twitter followers earlier this year by proudly wearing her signed Steven Gerrard Liverpool shirt on court. "Got so many comments about the Liverpool jersey and to step out on court with it... So why not," she tweeted afterwards.


LeBron James: The world famous American basketball player became a minority stakeholder in the club after he struck a deal with Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group earlier this year. He later went on to show his new-found love for the Reds by wearing a Liverpool polo shirt in one of his post-match press conferences following an NBA game back in the US, before visiting melwood to meet the Liverpool players and attend the game against Manchester United at Anfield in October 2011.


Samuel L Jackson: The American actor began following the Reds after he starred in cult movie 'The 51st State', which was filmed in Liverpool. Jackson even went to Anfield to watch a Merseyside derby clash against Everton. He recalls: "I went to see the derby game when I was there, against Everton. That was cool. I enjoyed that."



Elvis Costello is one of the most famous singers/songwriters in Britain. Coming into prominence from the pub rock scene, he later reinvented himself by associating himself with the punk genre and is considered to be one of the most influential persons on the music scene in Britain.
His dad, an Everton supporter, brought him to Goodison Park and Anfield to see his first two games. Everton were defeated 5-1 in the match at Goodison whereas Liverpool won 4-0 at Anfield.
Hence, Liverpool earned themselves a fan and Costello has been a die-hard Red ever since.

Best known as Sporty Spice of Spice Girls, Melanie has also released four solo albums. She has sold over 10 million records as a solo artist and sits on the No. 3 position for most United Kingdom number-ones by a female artist.
A Liverpuldlian by birth, she is a passionate Liverpool FC supporter. She even named her label as Red Girls Records.
It is rumored that the group of Liverpool players including Jamie Redknapp, Steve McManaman, David James, Robbie Fowler and Stan Collymore were christened as the Spice Boys due to her relationship with Steve McManaman's agent, Simon Fuller. 

Many of the current footballers including  Kevin Nolan, Joey Barton and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer are said to have idolized the stars of Liverpool as kids.

There are a number of others as well who are rumored to be Liverpool supporters. 
Most prominent among them was Pope John Paul II, who was said to be following Dudek's career at Liverpool and hence, became a fan himself.

Other rumored fans include Leonardo de Caprio and Cherie Blair,wife of former UK Prime Minister,Tony Blair.

There you have it,the list of Liverpool Celebrity fans,Liverpool are doing well at this moment,i believe The Reds could finish top 4 this season and we are looking forward to a Champions League football next season,take us to the top,Rodgers !!!
